A character letter to a judge is a formal letter written by friends, family, co-workers, or someone who knows the accused in criminal cases to a judge before sentencing to give credibility to the character of the accused and to support the judge to gain a deeper understanding of the accused outside of the crime committed.

Character Reference Letter for Child Custody
A custody reference letter is a formal statement of fact written to a judge by a friend, family, co-worker, or someone who knows the parent to support the parent's requests for custody settlements.
A character reference letter provides the judge with information about the case and gets a third party's point of view on the parent-child relationship. It also provides the judge with more information about the parents, including who they are, how they care for their children, and why they should be granted custody.
The main difference between Character Reference Letter for Child Custody and Statement for Child Custody is that the former is written by a friend, family, colleague or someone who knows the parent, but the latter is written by the father himself becomes.

I work 30 hours a week as a nurse. Joes is a lawyer and works 55 hours a week. He only extended parental leave on the weekends when I'm at work. Jane has had paternity agreements all her life, and my proposed parenting plan largely preserves the existing agreement. She will live with me full time and visit John every other weekend from Saturday morning to Monday morning. I'm also asking for sole custody because James has always put me aside when it comes to Jane's education and medical treatment.
I think James isn't asking for custody because he thinks it's in Jane's best interest, but because he's trying to use our daughter as a weapon against me. "You can't humiliate me like that, I'll make sure you don't get custody."Jamie explained in an email on January 31, 2022(Anhang A) after telling him I had consulted with an attorney to file for divorce and seek primary custody.
