7 Laws of the Universe – Kybalion

About the Kybalion:

7 Universal Laws are presented in the form of a seminar paper and a book called or Caibalion,in the year1908. Since publication,or Caibalion,written by him"Three Initiates"It has been the subject of debate and controversy.Who are the three initiates? Nobody knows!

The book is a very attractive yet concise guide in which the authors have divided and assembled Hermetic doctrine into seven binding principles or universal laws. Practical methods and ideas are very well provided here to apply in our daily lives for personal development.

The three initiates remain a mystery. No one knows exactly who wrote this mysterious guide to esoteric psychology and worldly success. Researchers are still working and guessing from the beginning of history. But this is a classic that illuminates seekers for generations.

The teachings of the legendary sage Hermes Trismegistus are explained here for the modern world. He is said to be an ancient Egyptian god-man who spawned astrology, alchemy, and other magical arts. The mythical figure of Hermes has fascinated readers of occult literature for centuries. The Kybalion describes Hermes as “Hermes was, and is, the Great Central Sun of Occultism and a contemporary of Abraham. Mages and Gnostics of late antiquity identified Hermes Trismegistus as the author of many esoteric teachings, building on the mystery of his lineage.

The Seven Hermetic Principles or The 7 Universal Laws

“The Principles of Truth are Seven; he who knows them, with understanding, possesses the Magical Key at whose touch all the Doors of the Temple are opened” – The Kybalion

There are seven Hermetic principles or Universal Laws by which everything in the Universe is governed. Furthermore, there is a common thread of the seven spiritual laws of the universe of ancient mystical, esoteric and secret teachings dating back over 5,000 years, from Ancient Egypt to Ancient Greece to the Vedic tradition of Ancient India. All teachings and secrets of the Universe have a root. And so, all is one.

However, if you can apply this method in your everyday life, you can live a life beyond your imagination.

7 laws of the universe

As I already mentioned in my previous post, there are many universal laws, and some claim that the Universe is governed by these 7 universal laws. that are different from20 Universal Laws I wrote about in this post.

But again, as I mentioned, there may be thousands of laws available through channeled information and ancient scriptures, so we cannot edit or recreate them. But interpret them with our own understanding or as a student of the Universe.

Furthermore, these laws can be divided into two categories:

Immutable and Mutable:

The Immutable:

The first three laws are immutable, absolute and eternal laws. They can never be changed or transcended. They have always existed, exist and always will exist.

The mutable:

On the other hand, the other four laws are changeable and can be changed to a better use that matches your reality and ideal desires. However, you cannot ignore them. Because you are here because these laws exist and you can always improve your life by applying these laws. Once you master these laws, you can shape the other four laws according to your reality; otherwise you will never be able to change them.

And since we cannot recreate or edit the 7 Universal Laws, this post is an excerpt from Kybalion himself with some of my own interpretations. Let's start.

The 7 Laws of the Universe Explained

1. Principle of Mentalism

This law is immutable in the 7 Universal Laws.

The Kybalion asserts that The Principle of Mentalism embodies the truth that

“The All is Mind; The Universe is Mental.” —The Kybalion

This Principle embodies the truth that "All is Mind". It explains that The Whole (which is the Substantial Reality underlying all external manifestations and appearances that we know under the terms of "The Material Universe", the "Phenomena of Life", "Matter", "Energy" and, in short, everything apparent to our material senses) is Spirit, which itself is Unknowable and Indefinable, but which may be regarded and thought of as One Universal, Infinite, and Living Mind.

It also explains that the whole phenomenal world or universe is simply a Mental Creation of the Whole, subject to the Laws of Created Things, and that the universe, as a whole, and in its parts or units, has its existence in the Mind of Him. Everything, in whose Mind "we live and move and have our being."

This is the first law of the 7 universal laws, which explains that

EVERYTHING is Mind

Everything we see, experience and hear in our physical world has its own mental realm that is invisible to human eyes. The Whole is the spirit that thinks of itself as a Universal Mind. The idea is a single Universal Consciousness or Universal Mind, from which everything manifests. We exist within this reality and create our own reality.

Your mind or my own mind is a part of Universal Mind. What I see, believe or experience is my manifestation and what you experience is your manifestation. Difference is our own thinking in the same universal mind. This is the power of the mind. And so, what you think, you become. The mind is everything.

2. Principle of Correspondence

This law is immutable in the 7 universal laws

"As above, so below; as below, so above." -or caibalion

This Principle embodies the truth that there is always a Correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. The ancient Hermetic axiom ran these words: “As above, so below; as below, so above." And the understanding of this Principle gives one the means of resolving many dark paradoxes and hidden secrets of Nature. There are planes beyond our knowledge, but when we apply the Principle of Correspondence to them, we are able to understand many things that would otherwise be unknowable to us.

This Principle is of universal application and manifestation, in the different planes of the material, mental and spiritual universe, it is a Universal Law.

This means that whatever is packaged affects the other. There is harmony, agreement and correspondence between the physical and spiritual realms.

The energy or vibration we create on Earth that isbelowis designedAbove. Later, which is returned to us and so,both above and below.We create an energy field with our thoughts, actions and desires. We send these signals to the Universe and these signals attract the same energy that is returned to us. Therefore, we are all connected and one with the Universe. God resides within, without and around us, not just in the Temple, the Church or the Mosque.

3. Principle of vibration

Los 3^thirdlaw of the 7 universal laws. This law is 'Immutable'.

“Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.—or caibalion.

This Principle embodies the truth that "everything is in motion"; “everything vibrates”; "nothing is at rest"; facts which Modern Science endorses, and which each new scientific discovery tends to verify. And yet this Hermetic Principle was enunciated thousands of years ago by the Masters of Ancient Egypt. This Principle explains that the differences between the various manifestations of Matter, Energy, Mind and even Spirit are largely the result of different rates of Vibration. From the Whole, which is Pure Spirit, to the grossest form of Matter, everything is in vibration: the higher the vibration, the higher the position on the scale.

The vibration of Spirit has such an infinite rhythm of intensity and rapidity that it is practically at rest, just as a rapidly moving wheel appears to be at rest. From the corpuscle and the electron, the atom and the molecule, to the worlds and universes, everything is in vibratory movement. This is also true on the planes of energy and force (which are nothing more than varying degrees of vibration); also on the mental planes (whose states depend on vibrations); and even to the spiritual planes. "He who understands the Principle of Vibration has seized the scepter of power", says one of the ancient writers.

Apparently this is the same thing that Nicola Tesla says,

“To understand the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”

Everything, including you and me, is energy that vibrates at different frequencies.

Like energy attracts like energy is the axiom where the law of attraction is based based on this 3^thirdlaw. Our feelings, thoughts, words, actions are vibrations and it's up to us to keep them higher or lower. We are sending signals to the Universe all the time. We are manifesting every second. For example, hate, jealousy, anger are the lowest vibrations of unconditional love, pure feelings are the highest vibrations. Stay in high vibration mode if you want to attract a healthy mindset and not just positivity.

However, it is your decision to choose your own vibe. You are co-creating with God and God or the Universe always says yes. Creation is composed of the same universal mind and you are part of it, so you are responsible for your own reality.

4. Principle of Polarity of the 7 Universal Laws

“Everything is Dual;everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are equal; opposites are identical in nature but different in degree; The extremes meet; all truths are only half-truths; all paradoxes can be reconciled."—O Caibalion

This Principle embodies the truth that "all is dual"; “everything has two poles”; “everything has its pair of opposites”, all old hermetic axioms. This explains the old paradoxes, which have perplexed so many, which have been stated thus: "Thesis and antithesis are identical in nature, but different in degree"; “opposites are equal, differing only in degree”; "pairs of opposites can be reconciled"; "Extremes meet"; "everything is and is not at the same time"; "all truths are only half‑truths”;"every truth is half-FALSE”;“everything has two sides”, etc., etc., etc.

He explains that in everything there are two poles or opposite aspects, and that the "opposites" are just the two extremes of the same thing, with many different degrees between them. To illustrate: hot and cold, although "opposites", are really the same thing, the differences simply consist of degrees of the same thing.

Look at your thermometer and see if you can figure out where "hot" ends and "cold" begins!

There is no such thing as "absolute heat" or "absolute cold": the two terms "hot" and "cold" simply indicate varying degrees of the same, and this "same thing" manifesting itself as "hot" and "cold". it is just a form, variety and rate of vibration. So that "heat" and "cold" are simply the "two poles" of what we call "Heat", and the phenomena that accompany them are manifestations of the Principle of Polarity.

The same Principle manifests itself in the case of "Light and Darkness", which are the same thing, consisting of the difference in various degrees between the two poles of phenomena. Where does "darkness" end and "light" begin? What's the difference between big and small"? Between "hard and soft"? "Black and white"? "Sharp and flat"? "Sound and Silence"? "Loud and soft"? Principle of Polarity explains these paradoxes and no other Principle can replace it.

The same Principle operates on the Mental Plane.

Let us take a radical and extreme example: that of “Love and Hate”, two apparently totally different states of mind.

And, however, there are degrees of Hate and degrees of Love, and an average point in which we use the terms "Me gusta or No me gusta", which spread among themselves so gradually that sometimes we don't know if we "like" or not. "I don't like" or "none". And they're all just degrees of the same thing, as you'll see if you think about it. na, more than this (and considered of greater importance by the Hermetists),

…it is possible to change the vibrations of Hate to vibrations of Love, in one's own mind and in the minds of others.

Many of you reading these lines have had personal experiences of the involuntary and rapid transition from Love to Hate, and vice versa, in your own case and that of others. And you will perceive, therefore, the possibility of this being accomplished by the use of the Will, through the Hermetic Formulas. "Good and Evil" are nothing more than the poles of the same thing and the Hermetic understands the art of transmuting Evil into Good, through the application of the Principle of Polarity.

In short, the "Art of Polarization" becomes a phase of "Mental Alchemy" known and practiced by ancient and modern Hermetic Masters. Understanding the Principle will enable one to change his own Polarity, as well as that of others, if he takes the time and study necessary to master the art.”

It embodies the idea that everything "is" and "is not" at the same time.

The same goes for the concept of the Bhagavad Gita, "God is above opposites".

Also about Goddess Mahakali: the end marks the beginning. She is light and darkness at the same time, light for good and darkness for evil.

It is by God Shiva who says: 'I am where I am and I am where I am not'.

This law governs most of the human species and how we choose to become dark or light. We have to rise above our fears and darkness. We are a composition of light and dark together. Life is a balance between positive and negative. What we choose is up to us. That's why we should try to feel good in any circumstances and keep learning with all the lessons of life, because all these situations are created by us.

5. Principle of Rhythm in the 7 Universal Laws

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum- balance manifests itself in everything; the measure of the curve on the right is the measure of the curve on the left; the pace pays off.”—or caibalion.

This Principle embodies the truth that in everything there is a measured movement, to and fro; a stream and inlet; a swing back and forth; a pendulum-like movement; a tide-like ebb and flow; a hightide and ebb-tide; between the two poles that exist according to the Principle of Polarity just described. There is always an action and a reaction; an advance and a retreat; an ascent and a descent. This is in the affairs of the Universe, suns, worlds, men, animals, mind, energy and matter.

This law manifests itself in the creation and destruction of worlds; in the rise and fall of nations; in the life of all things; and finally in the mental states of Man (and it is with the latter that Hermetics find the understanding of the Principle most important).

The Hermetic understood this Principle, finding its universal application, and also discovered certain means of overcoming its effects on themselves through the use of appropriate formulas and methods.

They apply the Mental Law of Neutralization.

They cannot override the Principle or cause it to stop operating, but they have learned to escape its effects on themselves to some extent, depending on the Principle's Mastery.

Instead offrom being used by him, they learned to use him. In this and similar methods, consists the Art of the Hermetists. The Master of the Hermetics polarizes himself at the point where he wishes to rest and then neutralizes the rhythmic oscillation of the pendulum that would tend to carry him to the other pole.

This is the fifth mutable law of the 7 universal laws.

This law teaches us to be aware of the power that is within us and everything we are creating.

Like the cycle of the moon, the waves of the ocean, success and failure, the rise and fall of great dynasties, our positive and negative thoughts swing like pendulums; It's the law of rhythm.

Like when we set goals, we don't feel positive all the time, there's a moment when we feel like giving up and there's also a moment when we feel like we can conquer the world. It is a continuous cycle of our life. Again, it behooves us to stay vigilant and remain intact in our efforts and motivation to achieve our goals.

If we value ourselves and celebrate small successes, the Universe also celebrates with us. And reward us with more of the same for more celebration. We have to celebrate our own amazement. Whenever negativity hits, let it be, cry and do whatever it takes to make that heavy feeling go away. Wash your face, looking in the mirror, smile and raise your vibration. Do you remember why you're here? And what do you care when the Universe has your back! Be aware and acquire a healthy mindset.

6. Principle of Cause and Effect

“Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to the Law; Chance is but a name for unrecognized Law; there are many planes of causality, but nothing escapes the Law.”—or caibalion.

This Principle embodies the fact that there is a Cause for every Effect; one effect of each cause. He explains that: "Everything happens according to the Law"; that nothing ever “just happens”; that there is no chance; that although there are several planes of Cause and Effect, the higher dominating the lower, nothing is entirely outside the Law.

Hermetics understand the art and methods of rising above the ordinary plane of Cause and Effect to some extent, and by raising themselves mentally to a higher plane, they become Causers instead of Effects.

Masses of people are dragged along, obedient to the environment; the wills and desires of others stronger than themselves; heritage; suggestion; and other external causes that move them like pawns on the chessboard of life. But Masters, ascending to the higher plane, master their moods, character, qualities and powers, as well as their surroundings, and become Boosters instead of Pawns.

They help to play the game of life, instead of being played and moved by other wills and the environment. In this statement, a great deal of Hermetic knowledge is condensed:

This is the sixth mutable law of the 7 universal laws

Every thought we think, every act we do, has its direct and indirect results that fit into the great chain of Cause and Effect.

Explain that there is a cause for every effect and an effect for every cause. Things don't just happen, everything happens for a reason. When you started to think good thoughts, your vibration started to match your own desires, you will see everything you want to see in the world. it means the same when we sayBe the change you want to see in the world.Because the world and events are a creation of our own mind that is part of the universal mind.

If we can change our mindset, become aware of our thoughts and words, we can become whatever we want to be. We must not be slaves to our circumstances, but we must be the masters and create our circumstances.

Your life is a blank page and you have the pen to fill it with good thoughts, whatever you keep writing in your mind you will keep living. The lack or scarcity mentality brings lack and scarcity. Growth and a conscious mindset bring growth and awareness. Choose now!

7. Gender Principle in the 7 Universal Laws

“Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests itself on all planes.” “The Kybalion.

This Principle embodies the truth that there is Gender manifested in everything: the Masculine and Feminine Principles always in action. This is true not only on the Physical Plane, but also on the Mental and even the Spiritual Plane. On the Physical Plane the Principle manifests itself as sex, on the higher planes it assumes higher forms, but the Principle is always the same. No creation, physical, mental or spiritual, is possible without this Principle. An understanding of its laws will shed light on many subjects that have perplexed the minds of men.

The Principle of Gender always works in the direction of generation, regeneration and creation.

Everything and every person contains the two Elements or Principles, or this great Principle, within him or her. Everything Masculine also has the Feminine Element; each Female also contains the Male Principle. If you understood the philosophy of Mental and Spiritual Creation, Generation and Regeneration-generation, you must understand and study this Hermetic Principle. It contains the solution to many of Life's mysteries.

To the pure, all things are pure; to the base all things are low.

The Masculine Principle of Mind corresponds to the-called Objective Mind; conscious mind; Voluntary Mind; Active Mind, etc. And the Feminine Principle of Mind corresponds to the callSubjective Mind; Sub- conscious mind; Involuntary Mind; Passive mind etc.

The "I" represents the Masculine Principle of Mental Gender - the "I" represents the Feminine Principle. The "I" represents the Aspect of Being; the "I" is the aspect of becoming. You will notice that the Principle of Correspondence operates on this plane just as it does on the grand plane on which the creation of Universes takes place. The two are similar in type, though very different in degree.

"As above, so below; as below, so above."

These aspects of the mind, the Masculine and Feminine Principles, the "I" and the "me", considered in relation to the good- known mental and psychic phenomena, give the teacherkey to these dimly known regions of mental operation and manifestation. The principle of Mental Type gives the underlying truth to the whole field of phenomena of mental influence, etc.

This last law of the 7 universal lawsembodies the idea that gender manifests itself in everything. Gender manifests as the Masculine and Feminine principles and manifests on all planes.

Everyone has a divine feminine and a divine masculine within them..

Apparently, in the Hindu religion, the concept of Ardhanarishvara is an androgynous form composed of the Hindu deities Shiva and Parvati represented as half man and half woman, equally divided in half, is the perfect example of this law. Also, the wife in Hindu marriages is Ardhangina pectoris. This means that they are a composite of two halves, the eternal being, i.e. the man and the woman. It's something like the twin flame concept. These are the perfect example of the divine feminine and masculine in one being.

A human being has a quality of love, patience, kindness and insight which are feminine elements and the quality of energy, self-confidence and intellect are masculine elements. Thus, we all have both elements within us and once we understand this, the Universe will find its true balance and we will be able to live in perfect harmony; without any discrimination.

The 7 Universal Laws are:

1. The principle of mentalism

2. The correspondence principle

3. The Principle of Vibration

4. The principle of polarity

5. The rhythm principle

6. The principle of cause and effect

7. The gender principle

Apply these laws in your everyday life and transform your life beyond your best, wildest and purest dreams. You have all the tools, the Universe is always providing, accept and be grateful. Spread love, kindness and happiness. Don't be blind to the wrong happenings, stand up for what's right. You are the cause of your experience and your reality. Accept this. Don't blame others. Life will be easier!

Use it as healthy inspiration. Be the best version of yourself. Be proud of yourself and accept yourself!
